Corinne asked her photographer, Tracey Buyce, for some suggestions on who could make her wedding perfect — not only deal with her flowers, but the whole package. Lucky for me, my name was on the list. I met with Corinne and her mom in the winter, and by the end of the meeting, Corinne’s mom booked me. I was thrilled. The family owns a nursery supply business so I was looking forward to showing off my skills and making this wedding perfect for a hard-working family.
Corinne showed me a headband that she had fallen in love with and asked me if i could do it … we smoked them out, and they looked great on all the girls. The funny thing was, she decided she was not going to wear one because she was having trouble during her hair trials and didn’t think the headband would work. I made one anyway for her. When she tried it on the day of her wedding … perfection! The headbands remind me of an old-world style we don’t see that often anymore.
In the next few meetings, we decided on trees from her family’s business to outline the ceremony, then used again next to the dance floor. We selected great linens, details for the escort table, the gates for the ceremony and most of the details. The chargers, napkins, and containers were decided on as I was texting pictures to Corinne from NYC on the Monday before her wedding. Normally these elements are chosen in advance. In truth, we had made selections, but when I saw these, I knew I had to run the extra mile to buy, ship and ensure delivery of these new items in time for this event. They were just too perfect.
The new tent liner we created in partnership with Clifton Park Rental, along with their chairs and lighting, really helped set the stage. Christine Wheat, thank you for making sure everything went like clockwork. I’m so thankful you were available when I recommended your services to Corinne.
As usual, I have posted my own pictures to show what I have been up to, but I can’t wait to see and show the shots from Tracey Buyce when they are ready.
Special thanks to Clifton Park Rental Center, Dawn Bennett at the Sagamore (LOVE her), Christine Wheat, Tracey Buyce, The Covino Family and, of course, my staff for making me look like I know what I’m doing.
Congratulations, Corinne and Dan!
