Established in 1995 by David Michael Schmidt, Renaissance Floral Design started as a floral event company in a little 700 square foot shop in Loudonville.

Focusing on couture weddings, event design, and everyday celebrations, Renaissance Floral Design quickly became the area’s premiere florist.

By 2004 it was apparent that the little shop in Loudonville seemed smaller and smaller. David moved the store move to a new location on Western Avenue, providing the space needed for the growing business. In addition to flowers David also sought unique gift items, outdoor elements and home décor.

We so appreciate the support of those that walk through RFD’s doors and allow us into their homes, and into their lives. It is with great appreciation that we are able to contribute not only to our customers home experience but also the days that are most precious in the histories of their family.

In December 2020, we expanded even more and launched our new website. A Brand New shopping experience from beginning to end. A place to get inspired, discover your new style, and find everything for your dream space. From Home Decor to Furniture, kitchen, Garden Pieces, and the unique items we are known for.

Our Wedding Customers can now create their own registry with us, personalize their page with pictures and messages for their guests, and of course, receive complimentary personalized assistance, designer tips, and whatever they need to get the most out of their registry.
